Amerado’s ‘Kwaku Ananse’ Original Song Earns Two Nominations In The 25th TGMA Following The Board’s Review

The Board of the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), have made a review.
The review comes after they unveiled the nominees for the TGMA 2024.
In their earlier nominations, the remix of ‘Kwaku Ananse’ by Amerado was nominated in the Best Highlife Song of the Year category.
The Ghanaian musician queried why the original version of ‘Kwaku Ananse’ was not nominated in any category of the 25th TGMA.
Following his complaint, the original ‘Kwaku Ananse’ song has replaced the remix in the nominations. This was revealed by the Board in a statement on Monday, April 15, 2024.
The song has now been nominated in the Best Highlife Song and Most Popular Song of the Year categories.
The TGMA Board also corrected that O’Kenneth and Xlim Kid’s ‘Lonely’ song was a joint project instead of a feature.
They further reiterated its commitment to fairness.
