Sky News report says, FIFA has has lodged a criminal complaint with

the Swiss attorney general over "possible misconduct of individual

persons".

A FIFA report into the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World

Cups found any violations of the governing body's rules by the

victorious nations – Qatar and Russia – were "of very limited scope".

However, it did criticise England for its close relationship with Jack

Warner, the disgraced former FIFA vice president.

The Swiss attorney general has been contacted because of allegations

"international transfers of assets with connections to Switzerland

took place, which merit examination by the criminal prosecution

authorities".

FIFA said the report into the awarding of the tournaments, compiled by

Michael Garcia, would be made available to the Swiss Office of the

Attorney General via FIFA ethic committee judge Hans-Joachim Eckert.

Mr Eckert concluded in his summary of the two-year investigation into

allegations of corruption that there was no case to reopen the bidding

process.
