Ghanaian highlife and afrobeat singer-songwriter, Dennis Nana Dwamena, otherwise known as KiDi, has revealed that he prays a lot with UK-based Ghanaian singer Sonnie Badu.
According to KiDi, Sonnie Badu is like a spiritual father to him.
‘’I have been talking to him. He is like my spiritual father, he created a WhatsApp group with me and my brother, we talk sometimes and he prays with us which l appreciates a lot,” he said in an interview with Ayisha Bayipa on the SVTV Africa chat show.
He said he will gladly accept an offer to work on a song with his ‘spiritual father’ when the opportunity presents itself.
‘’How dare me to say no if Sonnie Badu wants to do a song with me, I don’t mind if it is gospel.
“I equally can sing about things if I am touched by the spirit. Hence, I would be very honoured if today he says we should do a song,” KiDi stated.
He disclosed that he would also like to collaborate with Joe Mettle.
‘’Joe Mettle is another person l listen to a lot, another spiritual brother whose songs touches my heart in the deepest places.’’
