Ace broadcaster, Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen who also doubles as an artist manager has advised gospel musicians to concentrate on their music career and should not focus on money.

Speaking in exclusive interview the News Hunter Magazine, Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen said in his view, gospel musicians should not expect monetary rewards after any show because it is the Lord’s ordained ministry.

“In recent times the gospel music has been given an entertainment approach which is gradually denting the image of the industry.”

He noted that, renowned musicians like Yaw Sarpong, Wofa Yaw Asumani, Kofi Abraham, Daughters of Glorious Jesus amongst others did songs that were more spirit filled and still making impact today.

The broadcaster lamented why modern Ghanaian gospel artist cannot learn from those who pave way for them.

He hinted that, majority of the gospel musicians today are conforming to the ways of the circular ones in the name of fame and money and therefore very difficult to distinguish between them.

“There is nothing more rewarding and entertaining than sticking to your values as a gospel musician and having Jesus as your Lord and personal savior.”

Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen cautioned gospel musicians to guard against allowing fame, ego and money to take center stage in their career.

He also charged gospel artist managers to also help their artist managers to help their artists to realize that, their talent is not just a gift but also a ministry from above rather than allowing them to chase fantasies.
