We live in a country whereby parents dictate for their wards
on the kind of career path they should choose. Nana Kwame’s story is not
different but he did not allow his parents to set the pace for him.

Veteran radio broadcaster, Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen has
disclosed in a recent interview with the News Hunter Magazine that his parents
were not in support of choosing a career as a radio presenter.
He revealed that his father disowned him for giving up on
their decision for him to become a teacher in the future.
According to Nana Kwame, his father’s actions did not stop
him from pursuing a career as a broadcaster because he had passion for the job.
It was a delight to know that his mum was always on his side
to provide him all the necessary support.
“My journey into this profession has not been easy…my dad
disowned me but thanks be to God and my mum who gave me the needed support to
excel. It was not easy, I faced a lot of challenges but I did not give up on
what I have chosen to do.
“I always want to be the mouthpiece for the needy, the
voiceless and the weaker ones. I have thirteen (13) years on this field,” he
stated.
Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen advised wannabe journalists/radio
presenters to educate themselves very well before venturing into this field.
Nana Kwame Adjei Bohyen who was nominated in the 2016
