Lucky Mensah Meets Nana Akufo Addo

The Chief Executive Officer of Pluzz FM and Pluzz News
paper, Samuel Baah, popularly known in showbiz as Sammy Flex, has disclosed
that most of the celebrities who have joined the various political parties in
their campaign have their own motives.

Speaking in interview with Mr. Lattus on J.Life Fm’s
Entertainment Chart Show, Sammy Flex pronounced that: “some celebs venture into
politics for business, others also are to gain recognition by the party so that
they can aspire to some positions in the party or the nation as a whole on the
ticket of that particular party, some also joins the campaign because of the
policies of the political party whilst others also participate for their own
selfish interest.

According to him, if you are a fan of a celebrity who has
joined a political party’s campaign, you have to understand that, they also
have the right to make their choices as any ordinary citizen of Ghana.
“You are not helping yourself if you stop following a
celebrity because he or she is campaigning for a particular political party.
We should not hate them just because they are campaigning
for a particular party…. If we do that, we are not being fair to ourselves as
well as the celebrity,” he said.
He opined that, a celebrity may not lose his or her career
if the political party they campaigned for loses the election if they make good
use of their talents.
He cited musicians like Daddy Lumba, amongst others, who
composed campaign songs for a particular political party but still they are
making great impact in the industry.
“It’s about your talent and how you put them to use
will uphold you to your career,” he stated.
