The Black Stars of Ghana will today, Tuesday, September 12, face off with the Lone Stars of Liberia in a friendly encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars recently secured a 2-1 victory over the Central African Republic in their last game of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers at the Baba Yaara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, cementing their place in the upcoming tournament.
Today’s showdown against their West African counterparts forms part of the national team’s preparations for the AFCON games which will commence in January next year.
It is also an opportunity for both teams to hone their skills for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers set to begin in November. The Black Stars have two friendly matches with the USA and Mexico towards these ends.
