Nana Aboagye Dacosta Gets Candid On MUSIGA Grand Ball In Ashanti Region

The Ashante regional chairman of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Nana Aboagye Dacosta,has elaborated on the special grand ball held in Kumasi last year in the Ashante region.

Nana Aboagye Dacosta categorically stated that, the name grand ball can never be named Ashante regional grand ball, but rather should be in a way.

“The name as grand ball, i will let you know is referred to Accra. Ga musical grand ball and a whole lot of it, in other to raise funds to help the job of Musicians.”

According to him, MUSIGA decided on awards night. This awards night was introduced to honour our old musicians who have been in the music industry for long and also have the love and passion for music.

“The main idea of the programme is to build a musical library. In our country we do have musical library, so Agya Koo Nimo and MUSIGA aimed to acquire a land at the centre of national center, formally cultural centre in kumasi. With the help of the Ashante King “Otumfour” and tourist board, we have a land to build the library,” He revealed in an interview with Felix Agyei (Mr. Lattus) on J.Life Fm.

He disclosed that Agyaba jeweleries was once a musician. Agyaba was part of Alex Konadu band, and also once a member of happy brothers.

Nana Aboagye Dacosta self-produced and released his first album ‘Abrabo’ and his second album was released in 1992 titled ‘Odo Mene Wob3k)’

The last song he released was in 2011, track title ‘Wo Be So Mama’.
