Ghanaian Music Engineers And Musicians Needs To Learn More—Nana Cofi

Sunyani-based gospel musician, Isaac Cofi Twum popularly known as Nana Cofi has charged both Ghanaian music engineers and musicians to learn more.

Nana Cofi speaking in an interview with News Hunter Magazine’s Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku indicated that the Ghanaian music industry is growing—but stakeholders needs to improve upon what they are doing currently.

“Music must pass through a good channel before it comes to the hearing of people and I think music engineers must learn to bring out good and proper products.

“More noticeable though, a person might be an engineer but he may not have proper and quality skills to produce good music,” he said.

Additionally, Nana Cofi advised his fellow gospel musicians to be very mindful of what they wear. The ‘Mafa Yesu’ crooner averred that they should lead the pace for others to emulate.

According to him, gospel artist must not focus more on the fashion, but rather concentrate on the ministry. He added that the dress codes of some gospel artist are questionable.

Nana Cofi however defended the perception on how people see today’s gospel as a joke compared to the good old days. He said, if gospel artist of today worship the same God of yesterday in good spirit, current gospel music is not a joke.

Nana Cofi who is an indigene of Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region started singing way back in 1996—when he was still in Senior Secondly School (SSS), which is now known as Senior High School (SHS).

He has unleashed his maiden album titled ‘Mafa Yesu’. The album contains nine (9) tracks.
