Best goalkeeper award is meant to motivate me to work harder, Eric Ofori Antwi

Kumasi Asante Kotoko shot stopper Eric Ofori Antwi has expressed his delight for emerging as GHALCA six tournament's best goalkeeper when he guided the porcupine warriors to emerge as victors of the four day tournament held at the Sekondi Essipong stadium.

 The agile goalkeeper who mannered Kotoko's goalpost in all three games, kept one clean sheet and conceded two goals was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the mini-tournament due to his crucial saves he did most especially in their final game against Aduana Stars. He saved Godfred Saka's crucial penalty at the early stages of the game which ensured his side would not concede a goal against the Dormaa Ahenkro based side.
Eric Ofori Antwi, the former Black Satellites grovesman who emerged as the best goalkeeper of the U Trust G6 tournament in an exclusive interview with News Hunter said he is not relenting on his effort and he is eager to  keep his position as the number one goalie for the Ghanaian giants. "I'm very happy and proud of my achievement. This award is meant to motivate me to work hard in order to keep my form.I wouldnt be swollen headed. I always want to keep the post and this comes only through hardwork".

He used this platform to thank all his fans and asked for their prayers and ardent support. "I thank all my fans who have supported me to this far through their prayers and pieces of advice. I still need their support and prayers". He was presented with LCD TV as his prize.

Asante Kotoko's en route to the final beat  Berekum Chelsea by 3 goals to 1 and managed a 1:1 draw with their regional rivals Ashantigold. Aduana Stars on the other hand drew goaless with Accra Hearts of Oak and whitewashed Medeama by 3 goals to nill to book their ticket to the final.The fiercely contested final saw the porcupine warriors pipped the Ogya boys by a goal to zero with Halipha Sadogo getting the only goal through spot kick.
