Ghanaian choreographer, Amofa Michael, popularly known as Incredible Zigi, has advised musicians not to rely solely on DJs during promotion.
He said serious-minded musicians won’t rely solely on DJs when promoting their songs.
Zigi averred the power of social media and other means can do the magic for them, explaining that social media influencers can help their songs to trend.
“If you are an artiste and you rely on DJs alone to make your songs go viral then maybe you’re not serious with your promo,” the Ghanaian dance artist stated in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM.
He suggested that this should be done as the DJs do their part.
“Now there’s TikTok and other social media platforms which you can use by giving the song to an influencer to make it a trend.
“I have over 600K following on TikTok alone so these are platforms that we can use to promote songs whilst the DJs also promote the song,” Incredible Zigi stated.
