The Member of Parliament (MP) for Berekum West Constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region, Hon. Kwaku Boateng, alias Agoogo, has stated that the creation of new Municipalities and Districts by the Akufo Addo government, was geared towards accelerated community and national development.
Agoogo, who was commenting on the inauguration of the new district at Jinijini, capital of Berekum West, on Thursday, March 15, 2018, on Suncity Radio on Friday, explained that the new districts would bring about infrastructural development and the new offices and departments would also create employment for the people of the affected areas, while provision of goods and services would also see a boost.
The MP revealed that the railway line linking Southern Ghana to the Northern parts, would pass through Sunyani, Techiman and then run through to Kintampo and up North.
He, therefore, urged the people in the Brong Ahafo region, especially, those in his constituency, to brace themselves up for the opportunities that may come with these developmental agenda.
