Nana Fynn Says It’s Only Stonebwoy And MzVee Who Does Authentic Dancehall In Ghana

Ghanaian highlife artiste, Nana Fynn has named Stonebwoy and MzVee as the only artists who do authentic dancehall songs in Ghana.

Speaking in an interview with SVTV Africa, the ‘Odo Handkerchief’ singer said these musicians are doing very well.

“Maybe the only people I can call authentic dancehall artistes are Stonebwoy and Mzvee. However, Ghanaians don’t link Mzvee to dancehall because she doesn’t act rudely,” Nana Fynn stated.

He asserted that Stonebwoy and MzVee’s collaboration “come over”, is the only dancehall song in Ghana.

Nana Fynn released his first album ‘Ankwansema’ a fante term meaning a lone ranger in town looking for a wife, in the year 2000. The second album ‘Odo handkerchief’ was released in 2001. This was followed by ‘Dokodoko’…in 2003 I do was the hit song. He released Magic in 2005 with ‘Romeo’ as the hit song.

In 2008 he released another album, Twe Wo Ho, which enjoyed a lot of airplay as well. He has won several Ghana Music Awards for his works.
Apart from these albums, Nana Fynn has written some gospel songs for Stella Seal, Anita Obeng among others
