Nigerian reggae-dancehall artist, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has revealed the inspiration behind his latest album ‘Outside’.
According to him, the best way he can share what he passed through in the year 2017 is put it across in his ‘Outside’ album.
“It fits the past year. Every time I feel a way, I just get into the studio. This album is just like the whole past year.
“I feel like that’s the reason why I’m so relatable to the people that have been outcast by the society. Because it’s the only way for me to air it out and still live life as a human being without it showing. Because I have already cried that cry in the music, so that weight has been taken off and put in the music,” he said.
The singer was assumed for robbery attack on singer Mr. 2kay recently, he was invited by the police which he honoured the invitation and was later charged to court on this issue. The case is still in progress as it has just been adjourned to April.
He released his new album on the 26 of January 2018 titled ‘Outside’ and it has gone on to no 1 on the billboard 200 chart.
It has debuted on Billboard’s Reggae Albums Chart at the Number 3 spot.
