Nsoatre: 25-Year-Old Woman Murdered; Police Begins Investigation

Residents of Nsoatre in the
Brong Ahafo Region have been thrown into a state of shock, following the
gruesome murder of a 25-year-old woman.

Amponsaah Metel, a resident
of the community was found dead on Sunday morning at a bush near the M/A
Community Junior High School.
Chief Inspector Baba Issaka
who confirmed the incident to Suncity Radio’s Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku said an
investigation have been launched into the matter.
“We had the information on
Sunday but when we got to the scene, nothing showed that she struggled with somebody.
She was covered with a piece of cloth. It appears that she was dumped there
after she was murdered at a different place. She was scorched by the sun…but
none of her body parts was cut,” he narrated.
“The mortal remains has been
deposited at the Regional Hospital in Sunyani…and we are waiting for the autopsy
report,” Chief Inspector Baba Issaka added.
He called on residents of
Nsoatre to support the police as they have launched an investigation into the
matter.

According to him, police
patrols have been intensified—so they [Residents of Nsoatre] should not panic.
