Ghanaian gospel musician, Opiesie Esther has revealed why some of her colleagues are not releasing new songs.

The ‘Ziba Beko’ singer speaking with Mr. Lattus on J. Life Fm’s Entertainment Chart lamented that some talented Ghanaian gospel musicians are not releasing new songs due to hardship.

Opiesie Esther however sees nothing wrong for Gospel musicians to charge after performing at an event.

“We all have to understand that we do invest in our works. Without money we cannot survive. People are not buying CD’s anymore…if we do not receive money from what we are doing how can we produce another songs?” she queried adding that “We are in Ghana here whereby some international gospel musicians are paid huge sums of monies to perform in the country. We have stood so low that we hardly benefit from our hard works.”

When asked about what inspires her, Opiesie answered: “My secret is God and apart from him I have nothing else. My songs always remember Christians that we are in a battle and if we fight hard, we will come out victorious. I always sit down, think and plan before I come out with a song. Most of my songs provoke Christians to fight against Satan.”
