Artisans Laments Over Shortage Of Bamboo

Kofi Philip has called on Ghanaians and stakeholders to plant more bamboo to
save the environment.

Mr. Boahen Philip speaking in an exclusive interview with News Hunter Magazine’s Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku lamented on how the shortage of Bamboo are depriving them
from executing their jobs efficiently.

He disclosed that his outfit is poised to plant more bamboo if
authorities and traditional leaders can lease lands to them.

The CEO of New Start for Artisans and Technicians Movement
postulated that Bamboo can also be beneficial for the environment-and other
useful purposes.

“Bamboo can serve many purposes, it can be use for making bags,
bicycles, Furniture, and can also serve as a substitute for timber during
construction.

“We are ready to plant more bamboo to save the environment…it
provides shades and also prevent water bodies from drying up. Medically, bamboo
can also be very helpful,” Mr. Boahen Kofi Philip stated.
