Fear has gripped the Parliamentary Aspirant of the Progressive Peoples Party in Sene East in the Brong Ahafo Region.

Madam Alice Berko expressing her ordeal to the News Hunter Magazine posited that her life—and that of her family is in danger—after she resigned from the NDC to join the Progressive Peoples Party.
She explained some executives from her former party tried to influence her with money and other positions in the constituency but she turned them down.

“All these started after they saw me driving in a PPP branded pickup…They’ve promised to give me the position as a District Chief Executive (DCE) if I rescind my decision …and join the NDC again. They’ve threatened to face me physically and spiritually if I do not rescind my decision,” Madam Alice Berko averred.

She observed that the attacks have begun as she saw an owl (Patuo) in their room last Sunday.

“An owl (Patuo) entered our room last Sunday. My kids saw it first and they shouted to get my attention. We prayed and later we were able to kill it,” she stated.

Brong Ahafo Regional Organizer of PPP, Mr. Oduro Boye speaking with the News Hunter Magazine appealed to security agencies to follow this case before any negative thing occur.

“They should allow the woman to take her own decision …we beg them, they should spare her and give her the breathing space for her to stay at her own decision devoid of intimidation, influence or threats,” he said.
