A deadly shooting incident has occurred in Pusiga in the Upper East Region of Ghana leading to the death of nine individuals.
The shooting rampage took place at the Gbewaa College of Education police barrier where two buses traveling to Bawku from Cinkaasi were blocked and attacked, according to sources cited by Citi News.
Security agencies are currently on site to assess the situation and the injured persons have been taken to the hospital to receive treatment.
The identities of the victims are yet to be uncovered.
Meanwhile, the assailants and their reason for undertaking the attack also remain unknown, although it coincides with a period of ethnic tension in the region.
