A group calling itself the concerned customers of the defunct DKM Diamond
Microfinance Company in Sunyani has said it will soon auction properties of the
company and settle aggrieved depositors whose funds are locked up.
According to the group, comprising of teachers, public service workers, artisans
and traders, it has sought the service of a valuer and soon an auctioneer would
be appointed to assist in the auction of the properties.
Mr Maxwell Mahama, the group’s spokesperson speaking to SKY MARKET PLACE
said it will soon complete court processes and advise the cash depositors to
exercise little restraint.
Meanwhile, Minister of Finance, Seth Tepker is expected to appear before
parliament on Tuesday to address the House, on matters relating to the
Microfinance industry in the country.
