Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South and Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon Kweku Rickets Hagan-has held an annual
Christmas and New Year party for 6–12 year old children at Cape Coast Jubilee
Park in the Central Region.

However, the party was to keep the children entertained and also to help them
mingle and socialize with others despite coming from different backgrounds.

Hon. Kweku Ricketts Hogan used the platform to advise the children to respect
their parents and elderly persons they come across with irrespective of their
status, either rich or poor.

According to the Hon MP, most parents struggle to send their wards to school
therefore the children must put much effort in their education to make their
parents proud.

Mr Hogan indicated that, the future is bright for the children, and one day
some of them will take over the nation as MP’s and ministers.

He further noted that, is barely a year to elections, even though the children
can not vote, they should rather advise their parents to vote for a good leader
who cares about children’s well being.

Over 300 children were offered packages like text books, exercise books, food
and various kinds of games.
