The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for 3Music Awards, Obed Boafo has hinted at the organizer’s plans to cover all the regions in Ghana.
Some few weeks ago, 3Music Awards released the list of Next Rated Acts in 10 out of 16 regions in Ghana.
This created some heated debates among artistes and entertainment pundits/personalities in the newly created regions which had no reps.
Following this, Obed Boafo clarified in an interview with Gerry Gee on Space FM which was monitored by Newshuntermag.com that the decision to focus on just the old ten regions was organization policy.
He, however, promised that the next edition of the 3Music Awards will have representatives from all the 16 regions in the country.
Mr Boafo stressed that broadening their scope next year will be helpful as their target is not about mainstream artiste alone.
Despite the controversies, complaints about favouritism, neglect of artistes in the Bono East and Ahafo Regions, the 3Music Awards PRO was resolute that the Brong Ahafo Regional academy/board did a broad consultation before they finalized the list submitted and even after that, the list was scrutinized.
According to him, the list was very representative.
When asked about the number of people that constitute the Regional academy/board, he stated that they are not more than ten (10).
